The Sherpa method works because it’s
process-driven. It’s goal-specific and time-specific. Each engagement is
divided into six precise phases focusing on:
- discovering the "real" client
through self-inspection
- the client’s capacity for change
- discovery of the client’s specific
weaknesses and expectations
- setting a path toward definitive
improvement using specific tools offering eye-opening understanding
and potential solutions
- reinforcing the client’s commitment
to change and accountability
- the client’s commitment to long-term
success
Corbett and Colemon literally ‘wrote
the book’ on executive coaching, "The Sherpa Guide – Process-Driven
Executive Coaching." Their method has become the industry standard and
Sherpa Coaching is the only executive coaching curriculum being taught
at business schools such as The University of Cincinnati, Xavier
University, Kent State University, University of Louisville, and Penn
State. |
